WHAT IS THE BEST AND FASTEST WAY OF LEVELING IN RIFT PLANES OF TELARA?
This will be an on-going Rift leveling guide which I will keep adding to, so keep checking back and you should find some new things and for higher levels.
There is a summary section per class, with links to my more detailed Rift leveling guides for the Mage and Warrior so far. I’ll add the detailed Cleric and Rogue leveling guides later.

Leveling Guide for a Mage
The Mage in Rift Planes is one of the best classes to quickly level due to the number of AoE spells you have at your disposal as well as quite a few spells which will ensure you are almost never out of mana.
The best souls for leveling a Mage are the Necromancer and Warlock, plus a third soul which has a number of options.
What I have found work best for me is going up to Soul Purge within the Necromancer tree and put everything else into the Warlock tree.
My third tree is normally the Pyromancer (but I do not spend any points into it) for the free Fireball and Firebolt spells. These are great for your opening spell and a great instant spell which you can use for many situations.
With these three souls you will hardly ever be out of mana or die while you level in Rift. And you will be able to take on a high number of foes to really level quickly.
Check our Rift Mage Guide page for a detailed Rift leveling guide for Mages.
Leveling Guide for a Warrior
In my experience Warriors in Rift level a bit slower than Mages and if you go the full two handed route then you won’t be able to take on as many foes while leveling as a Mage.
The best souls for leveling a Warrior are the Riftblade and Champion, plus a third optional soul.
The Riftblade soul will be your main soul for leveling, with left over points into Champion.
I highly recommend you pick the Beastmaster soul as your third choice for the free pet.
The Riftblade has many fire damage attacks which is great while you’re leveling your Warrior because they’ll still do good damage even though your weapons are not great (which will be the case while you’re leveling).
Check our Rift Warrior Guide page for a detailed leveling guide for Warriors.
Leveling Guide for a Cleric
This is my favorite class for leveling in Rift!
I started my Cleric after playing my Warrior and Mage and was amazed (with the right souls!) how many creatures I could take on at a time and live.
You definitely need a certain three souls for leveling your Cleric. And they are the Justicar, Shaman and Druid.
When you first level you will put your points into Justicar, enough to get the Mien of Honor spell.
Spend two points into Druid to get Shield of Oak, as well as the useful free pet.
Then the rest of your points should go into Shaman.
With the combination of these three souls you will be amazed how many enemies you can take on at the same time (and win!), plus you’ll be very tough in PVP as well.
I’ll be writing a more detailed Rift leveling guide for Clerics soon, so watch this space!
Leveling Guide for a Rogue
Now I have to admit I play my Rogue less than my Mage, Warrior and Cleric but there are only so many hours in the day.
You have a lot of choices as a Rogue for leveling but I would recommend the Bard and Marksman souls, with the Ranger as your third soul.
You don’t need to spend any points into Ranger, as you’re only using it for the free pet.
Make sure you get the Invigorated Soul spell which will turn your Cadence into a very useful group heal spell, plus it heals your pet as well.
I’ll be writing a more detailed Rift Rogue guide soon but this should at least help you if you are new to the Rogue.
Rift Addons Are on the Way!
I read a post from the official Rift forum a couple of months a go where Trion stated that we will have addons in Rift. This was great news!
Anyway, I thought I’d check today and see what is the latest news on Rift addons.
Well I was a bit underwhelmed to be honest with you. Maybe I need to do some more research but I thought there would be a lot more addons by now.
WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE RIFT MAGE BUILD?
Welcome to my Rift Mage guide showing you what I think is the best soul build for leveling and it’s also great for PVP! I’ll be adding to it as well, so please check back often.
I also recommend the Xerxes Rift guide which taught me to level my Mage in Rift to level 50 and has great class builds, dungeon and PVP guides.

Introduction
I normally play a Mage in these MMORPGs as I find them the most versatile and fun of all the classes. Well in Rift I’m actually playing a Mage, Warrior and Cleric! There isn’t enough hours in the day ;)
So I’ve finally had a chance to write this beginner Rift guide for Mages. Okay, to start with, you can do so much more with Mages in Rift than other games like WOW. Sorry if that upsets any WOW gamers reading this guide but it’s true. Hey, I still play WOW and enjoy it but in my personal opinion, the Mages in Rift are far more versatile and fun.
WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE RIFT WARRIOR BUILD?
Thanks for visiting my Rift Warrior guide showing you what I believe is the best soul build for leveling and it’s also great for PVP! I’ll be adding to it as well, so please come back often.
I also recommend the Xerxes Rift guide which taught me to level my Warrior in Rift to level 50 and has great class soul builds, dungeon and PVP guides.

Introduction
One of the things I found quite annoying in other online games such as WOW was every melee class (or indeed the other classes as well) only had three choices (called talent trees in WOW). Yes, you could customize your Warrior quite a bit in WOW but you were still fixed on those three talent trees.
The Rift Ascended Powers are one of the most overlooked features of Rift Planes of Telara.
I have to admit, I didn’t bother with the Ascended Powers in Rift until I was past level 30. What a waste, as some of these powers are very useful indeed, especially in Rifts.
Hi there,
One thing I found quite frustrating when I first started playing Rift Planes of Telara was not really knowing what these rift events were all about. So I thought I’d write a small rift guide on how the rift events (also known as Rifting) work.
Don’t worry, I’ll be writing more advanced guides for Rift as soon as I can but I seem to have a million and one things to do these days, including playing Rift Planes!
Hi there!
I just wanted to say hi and welcome to our Rift guide website.
It’s not looking like much right now but we’ll soon be writing some amazing guides for Rift, including Rift class build guides, PVP guides for Rift, Rift leveling guides and lots of other helpful posts on Rift Planes of Telara.
We are just about the biggest fans of Rift Planes and have mostly stopped playing that ‘other game’!
